this book is pretty cool on two levels - the first is that it's still really the only book out there on animal trials, and animals trials are interesting and funny enough that i could read anecdotes about them all day long. the second is that the book is from and evans spends a lot of time pontificating about how rational and enlightened he is compared to mediaevals who were putting animals on trial. of course it turns out that he's not actually as superior and rational as he thinks - he la.
