From the moment 'Breakfast and Bronzefield' arrived in the post, with Sophie Campbell's neat handwritten, return address and lovely packaging (pictured) I had to ask myself why had I not particularly sought out, or wanted to read, books by or about women in prison before, especially when the persecution of women through history is central.
